Goku took him down in a Super Charged Super Saiyan form, so the truly Ascended Beyond Super Saiyan version of Goku should do the job. His showings have never been as spectacular as Gohan's but I'd say Goku can do it. After all, if he doesn't who will?

Where goku went form getting cracked form Slug to one shoting with piccolo power Only4anime, your right his talking about Broly how he survived and made it until movie 10 as he was the strongest saiyan. How he survived form M8 to continue to 2 others movies and he done that because he was the strongest saiyan. That is why his talking about life force LOL what a shame. Stop making stuff up... You know why he got a recovery boost? To surpass the SSJ2 Gohan.
